The Myrmidons were followers of Achilles.
Their captains were:
Menesthius, son of Spercheus and Polydora (Achilles' sister). Nephew to Achilles. Known for his "gleaming corselet"
Eudorus, a bastard of the dancer Polymele. Noble, fleet of food and valiant in battle. He was raised not by his mother, but by his grandfather Phylas. Commander of ten ships, and five hundred Myrmidons.
Peisander, son of Maemalus. The finest spearman, second to Patroclus.
Phoenix, son of Amyntor. An old man at the time of the Trojan war, he was Achilles teacher in the art of war and speech.
Alkimedon, son of Laerceus
